Another trip to San Francisco, we stopped by the Sierra Mar Restaurant at the Post Ranch Inn (on the 1 Highway/PCH). We could only dream of staying a night there, but with room rates starting at $595 (with tree and mountain view) to $2285 (with ocean view), we were fine just dining for a few hours. Every seat has a view of the ocean.

- Grilled skirt steak // With roasted garden fingerling potatoes, fennel, spring onion, balsamic
- Pommes frites with herbed aïoli
